PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY, JUNE 27, 2000
The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in special session at the Concordia Parish School Board Office, in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Tuesday, June 27, 2000, at five-thirty (5:30) o’clock p.m. The meeting was called to order by the Honorable Mike Grantham, President, who declared after prayer by Superintendent Peterman and the Pledge, that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.
Members present were the Honorable Mike Grantham, Mr. Don Joseph, Mrs. Mary Campbell, Mr. Lynn White, Mr. Darrell Crofford and Mrs. Martha Rabb.
Members absent were Rev. Johnnie Brown, Mr. Warren Brown and Mr. Ricky Raven.
Superintendent Peterman reminded the Board that this Budget Revision was to comply with the 5% variance. He also informed the Board that the fiscal year would not end with a negative fund balance.
There was a general discussion concerning various funds.
Rev. Johnnie Brown arrived at 5:45 p.m.
Superintendent Peterman reminded the Board that a student loss was being projected for the 2000-2001 school year. A simulation was requested from the State Department of Education based on a loss of one hundred students.
It was moved by Mr. Joseph, seconded by Mr. White and carried unanimously to approve the Amended Budget.
Superintendent Peterman thanked the Board for their support.
It was moved by Mr. Joseph, seconded by Mrs. Rabb and carried unanimously to adjourn at 6:00 p.m.
