PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2003.

The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in a special session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Tuesday, September 23, 2003, at six fifteen  (6:15) o'clock p.m.  The meeting was called to order by Lynn White, President, who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.

Members present were Mr. Ernest Lynn White, Ms. Mary Campbell, Mr. Darrell Crofford, Ms. Martha Rabb, Mr. Raymond Riley, and Mr. Jimmy Wilkinson.

Absent members were Mr. Ricky Raven, Rev. Johnnie Brown and Mr. Donald Joseph

The 2003 tax millages were discussed at the Public Hearing prior to the meeting. It was moved by Mr. Riley, seconded by Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to approve the tax millages as presented and recommended by Mr. Thomas H. O'Neal, Director of Business Affairs

The FY2003-2004 Budget was also discussed at the public hearing conducted prior to the meeting at 5:30 p.m.  It was moved by Mr. Riley, seconded by Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to approve the FY2003-2004 Consolidated Budget as presented by Mr. O'Neal.

The Roof package was presented by Mr. Tom O'Neal, Director of Business Affairs.  The bids for the roof package were as follows:

Roof Masters of America                      $554,945

Dunn Construction                                $616,700

Contracting and Consulting                   $648,314

E. Cornell Malone Corporation            $633,556

It was moved by Mr. Crofford, seconded by Mr. Riley and carried unanimously to award the bid to Roof Masters of America.

It was moved by Mr. Crofford, seconded by Ms. Rabb to adjourn at 6:29 p.m.
