PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, JUNE 11, 2009
The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Regular Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at six (6:00) o’clock P.M. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Gary Parnham, who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.
Members present were, Ms. Deanie Roberts, Ms. Darlene Baker, Mr. Daryle Price, Ms. Martha Rabb, Sr., Mr. Gary Parnham, Sr., and Mr. Ricky Raven. Mr. Fred T. Butcher arrived at 6:15 P.M.
Members absent were Ms. Mary Campbell and Mr. Raymond Riley.
Ms. Brenda Roberts was recognized by Taylor and Sons Insurance as the Concordia Parish Employee of the Month.
Ms. Cheryl Probst and Ms. Heather Malone introduced the Choice Program volunteers. The following individuals made presentations to 8th grade students concerning life choices.

Committee reports were presented by Mr. McGee and Mr. Butcher.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to approve the minutes of May 21, 2009.
It was moved by Ms. Baker, seconded by Mr. Raven and Ms. Roberts and carried unanimously to approve the financial report and invoices in the amount of $4,017,328 for the month of May 2009.
It was moved by Mr. Raven, seconded by Mr. Butcher and carried 4 to 2 with Mr. Parnham abstaining on a roll call vote to approve the contract for the school resource officer through the Sheriff’s Department, Mr. Lee Ford, with quarterly reviews.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to appoint The Concordia Sentinel as the official journal of the Concordia Parish School Board.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to approve the following personnel items in global.

5, 2009, upon exhaustion of accumulated sick leave
