PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT AN ACADEMIC BOARD MEETING HELD ON  THURSDAY, JUNE 18, 2009

The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in an Academic Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at six (6:00) o’clock P.M.  The meeting was called to order by Mr. Gary Parnham, who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.

Members present were,  Ms. Martha Rabb, Sr., Mr. Gary Parnham, Sr., Mr. Ricky Raven, Mr. Daryle Price, and Mr. Fred T. Butcher.  Ms. Darlene Baker arrived at 6:05 P.M.

Members absent were Mr. Raymond Riley, Ms. Mary Campbell and Ms. Deanie Roberts.

The Board met in an Academic Meeting to hear reports from principals concerning the following:

• Prior Year School Performance Scores and Projected Scores

• Was Growth Target Met

• Evaluation of Activities Utilized to Improve Achievement

• Effectiveness of Activities

Principals responded to these areas in the following order:

A.                 CEC - Lillian Franklin

B.                 FLE - Sheila Alwood

C.                 FUE - Cindy Smith

D.                FJH - James Davis

E.                 MHS - John Bostic

F.                  RES - Nancy Anders (represented by Ms. Dorothy Parker)

G.                VLE - Doris Polk

H.                VUE - Darla Johnston

I.                   VJH - Whest Shirley

J.                  VHS - Rick Brown

It was moved by Ms. Rabb, seconded by Mr. Price and carried unanimously to adjourn at 6:50 P.M.
