PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, JULY 9, 2009
The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Regular Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, July 9, 2009, at six (6:00) o’clock P.M. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Gary Parnham, who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.
Members present were, Ms. Mary Campbell, Ms. Darlene Baker, Mr. Raymond Riley, Ms. Martha Rabb, Sr., Mr. Gary Parnham, Sr., and Mr. Ricky Raven. Mr. Fred T. Butcher arrived at 6:15 P.M.
Members absent were Ms. Deanie Roberts and Mr. Daryle Price.
Committee reports were presented by Mr. Riley, Mr. Butcher and Ms. Campbell.
It was moved by Mr. Riley, seconded by Mr. Raven and Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to approve the minutes of June 11 and 18, 2009.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Baker and carried unanimously to approve the financial report and invoices in the amount of $3,791,948 for the month of June 2009.
It was moved by Mr. Raven, seconded by Mr. Riley and carried unanimously to add Item H to the agenda as follows: Seek authority to Advertise, Receive and Award Bids for School Food Service Equipment Purchased through Stimulus Funds.
It was moved by Ms. Rabb, seconded by Ms. Campbell and carried unanimously to approve the NCLB/IDEA Combined Application and NCLB/IDEA ARRA application.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to approve the Pupil Progression Plan.
It was moved by Ms. Rabb, seconded by Mr. Riley and carried unanimously to approve the bus driver repair reimbursement for this year and to review next year.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to approve the increase in meal prices as follows:

It was moved by Ms. Baker, seconded by Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to approve the job description for the Numeracy Coach and Interventionist.
It was moved by Mr. Raven, seconded by Mr. Butcher and carried unanimously to approve the superintendent’s recommendation of Mr. William Givens for the position of assistant principal of Monterey High School.
It was moved by Mr. Raven, seconded by Ms. Baker and approved unanimously to take the buds under advisement and to award the bid once the low bidder has been determined. Bids were as follows:
