PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2011

The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Regular Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, February 10, 2011, at six (6:00) o’clock P.M..  The meeting was called to order by Mr. Gary Parnham, who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.

Members present were Mr. Gary Parnham, Sr., Ms. Mary Campbell, Ms. Martha Rabb, Ms. Darlene Baker, Mr. Daryle Price, Mr. Charles Minor, Mr. Raymond Riley, Mr. Fred T. Butcher and Ms. Cheryl Probst.

The following students were recognized for having been chosen for the Sidney A. Murray Citizenship Award:

Committee reports were presented.

It was moved by Mr. Riley, seconded by Mr. Minor and carried unanimously to approve the minutes of January 13, 2011.

It was moved by Ms. Baker, seconded by Mr. Price and carried unanimously to approve the financial report for the month of January in the amount of $3,746,314.

It was moved by Mr. Riley, seconded by Ms. Rabb to raise Board Members salaries to the state average of $625 per month.  The roll call vote was as follows:

It was announced that the motion passed on a simple majority.

It was moved by Mr. Riley, seconded by Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to accept the proposal for summer school.

It was moved by Mr. Price, seconded by Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to accept the 2011-2012 school calendar.

It was moved by Ms. Baker, seconded by Ms. Rabb and carried unanimously to approve the job description for Data Specialist.

It was moved by Ms. Campbell, seconded by Mr. Minor and carried 8 to 1 with Mr. Butcher opposing the resignation of Mr. Chad Harkins, to approve the personnel items in global.
