PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2012
The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Regular Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, December 13, 2012. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Gary Parnham who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.
Members present were Mr. Gary Parnham, Sr., Ms. Mary Campbell, Mr. Warren Enterkin, Ms. Darlene Baker, Mr. Charles Minor, Ms. Cheryl Probst, and Mr. Raymond Riley.
Mr. Fred T. Butcher arrived at 6:03 p.m.
Ms. Angela Hayes was absent.
Dr. Paul Nelson recognized the Christmas Card Art Contest Winners.

Dr. Paul Nelson recognized the following schools:
Vidalia High School and Monterey High School for school rating of ‘A’.
Ferriday High School for largest gain in School Performance Score in Parish.
Vidalia Upper Elementary for achieving recognition as a Top Gains School by the
State of Louisiana for the 2011- 2012 school year.
Each school will receive $8,453.85.

It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Campbell and carried unanimously to approve the minutes of November 8, 2012.
It was moved by Ms. Baker, seconded by Mr. Riley and carried unanimously to approve invoices in the amount of $3,357,951 for the month of November.
It was moved by Ms. Baker, seconded by Ms. Probst and carried unanimously to approve the Sales Tax Collections Contract for Catahoula Parish Law Enforcement.
It was moved by Mr. Riley, seconded by Mr. Butcher and carried unanimously to approve the first reading of the following policies:

It was moved by Mr. Enterkin, seconded by Ms. Baker and carried unanimously to approve the Technology Enhancement Project (TEP).
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Baker and carried unanimously to approve the hiring of another Computer Technician.

Superintendent Dr. Nelson announced that the schools will be closing on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 12:30 p.m., and the central office at 2:00 p.m. for the Christmas Holidays. The office will reopen on Thursday, January 3, 2013, and students will return on Monday, January 7, 2013.
