PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, MAY 9, 2013
The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Regular Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 6:00 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Gary Parnham who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.
Members present were Mr. Gary Parnham, Sr., Ms. Mary Campbell, Ms. Darlene Baker, Mr. Jeffery Goodman, Mr. Fred T. Butcher, Ms. Cheryl Probst and Mr. Warren Enterkin.
Members absent were Mr. Raymond Riley and Mr. Charles Minor.
The Board recognized the Superintendent’s Advisory Council 2012-2013 members.

It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Mr. Enterkin and carried unanimously to approve the minutes of April 11, 2013.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Probst and carried unanimously to approve invoices in the amount of $3,515,198 for the month of April.
It was moved by Mr. Enterkin, seconded by Ms. Probst and carried unanimously to approve the SRO agreement with the Town of Vidalia. Roll call vote is as follows:

It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Campbell and carried unanimously to approve the School Security agreement with the Town of Ferriday.
It was moved by Ms. Campbell, seconded by Ms. Baker and carried unanimously to approve the New Teacher Payment Plan Option.
The RFP for school access points were opened. The results were as follows:

It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Campbell and carried unanimously to approve the receiving of RFP for School Access Points. Mr. O’Neal asked to refer to committee.

Dr. Nelson made the following announcements:
Teacher Appreciation Week - as a token of our appreciation, cakes were delivered to all schools on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.
We will be depositing the May “13th Check” of $500 on Friday, May 10, 2013.
End of Course testing began Monday, May 6, 2013, throughout the parish.
