PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 2013
The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Regular Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at 6:00 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Gary Parnham who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.
Members present were Mr. Gary Parnham, Sr., Mr. Charles Minor, Mr. Jeffery Goodman, Ms. Mary Campbell, Mr. Fred T. Butcher, Ms. Cheryl Probst, and Mr. Raymond Riley.
Members absent were Ms. Darlene Baker and Mr. Warren Enterkin.
Committee reports were presented.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Mr. Riley and carried unanimously to approve the minutes of July 11, 2013.
It was moved by Mr. Riley, seconded by Mr. Butcher and carried unanimously to approve the financial report and invoices in the amount of $1,416,427.00.
It was moved by Mrs. Campbell, seconded by Mr. Riley and carried unanimously to approve the Louisiana Compliance Statement for Audit Engagements of Quasi-Public Agencies.

Mr. O’Neal reminded the Board that paper was considered a Louisiana preference product. It was moved by Mr. Riley, seconded by Mr. Campbell and carried unanimously to take the bids under advisement and grant authority to award the bid.
Ferriday Junior High School New Gym
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Mr. Riley and carried unanimously to table the Ferriday Junior High School gym award at this time. The Building & Grounds committee will meet with the engineer on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at 8:00 a.m. to make a recommendation to the board at a Special Board Meeting that will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, and seconded by Mr. Riley to accept joint agreement with Concordia Bank & Trust Company and Delta Bank for its Fiscal Agent and Depository Bank for fiscal years 2013 - 2014 and 2014 - 2015.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, and seconded by Mr. Goodman, to approve Monterey High School homecoming date of November 15, 2013.
