PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2016
The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Regular Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at 6:00 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Raymond Riley who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.
Members present were Ms. Mary Campbell, Mr. Raymond Riley, Mr. Ronnie Bradford, Mr. Fred T. Butcher, Mr. John Bostic, Ms. Cheryl Probst and Mr. Warren Enterkin.
Members absent were Mr. Jeffery Goodman and Mr. Rickey Raven.
Mrs. Loretta Blankenstein recognized the students receiving the Sidney Murray Citizenship Awards in Grades 3-5.

Mrs. Loretta Blankenstein recognized the Student of the Year winners for both the school and the district.

Committee Reports were presented.
It was moved by Mr. Bradford, seconded by Mr. Bostic and carried unanimously to approve the minutes of January 14, 2016.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Mr. Bradford and carried unanimously to approve invoices in the amount of $4,771,352 for the month of January.
It was moved by Mrs. Probst, seconded by Mr. Bostic and carried unanimously to approve the Second Reading of the following policies:
BH – School Board Ethics IFA – Instructional Materials
EBBG – Hazardous Substances IFAA – Textbook Selection and Adoption
GBDA – Employment of Retired Personnel IH – Academic Achievement
IDCH – Home Study Program
It was moved by Mr. Bradford, seconded by Mr. Enterkin and carried unanimously to approve the Sales Tax Collection Contract with City of Jonesville.
It was moved by Mr. Bradford, seconded by Mr. Bostic and carried unanimously to give Mr. O’Neal the authority to pursue land swap Section 7 T8N,R10E.
It was moved by Mr. Bostic, seconded by Ms. Campbell and carried unanimously to enter into Executive Session at 6:30 p.m. to discuss an investigation pursuant to La.R.S.42:17(A)(4) and any actions resulting from the above-described executive session.
It was moved by Ms. Campbell, seconded by Mr. Bradford and carried unanimously to return to Regular Session at 6:50 p.m.
