PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, APRIL 14, 2016
The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Regular Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 6:00 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Raymond Riley who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.
Members present were Ms. Mary Campbell, Mr. Warren Enterkin, Mr. Ronnie Bradford, Mr. Raymond Riley, Ms. Cheryl Probst, Mr. Jeffery Goodman, and Mr. Ricky Raven.
Members absent were Mr. Fred T. Butcher and Mr. John Bostic.
The Board recognized the Citizenship Award Winners.

The Board recognized the Monterey High School Cheerleaders who participated in the 36th Annual Senior & Junior High School National Championship hosted by the National Cheerleaders Association in Dallas, Texas on January 23-24, 2016. The team participated in the Game Time cheer division and in the Game Time fight song division placing in the Top 25 in each event.

Committee Reports were presented.
It was moved by Mr. Bradford, seconded by Mr. Raven and carried unanimously to approve the minutes of March 10, 2016.
It was moved by Mr. Raven, seconded by Mr. Bradford and carried unanimously to approve invoices in the amount of $3,749,305 for the month of March.
It was moved by Mr. Raven, seconded by Mr. Enterkin and carried unanimously to approve the School Calendar for 2016 - 2017.
It was moved by Mr. Raven, seconded by Mrs. Probst and carried unanimously to approve entering into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the Concordia Parish School Board and the Workforce Development Board.
It was moved by Mr. Bradford, seconded by Mr. Raven and carried unanimously to approve First Reading of Policy JGFH – “Student Identification”.
It was moved by Mr. Bradford, seconded by Mrs. Probst and carried unanimously to approve a Servitude Appropriation as requested by the Fifth Louisiana Levee District on School Indemnity Land Fractional Section 7, T8N, and R10E. Agreement is to cover a perpetual servitude of Parcel 9-1 and temporary servitude of Parcel 9-2. Servitudes are being granted in connection with Mississippi River Levees, Waterproof to Upper Lake Concordia Levee Enlargement and Berm project, Item 374R, Concordia Parish, Louisiana.
