PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 12, 2017
The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Regular Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, January 12, 2017. The meeting was called to order by Mr. Raymond Riley who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.
Members present were Mr. Raymond Riley, Ms. Mary Campbell, Mr. John Bostic, Mr. Ronnie Bradford, Mr. Rickey Raven, Mr. Warren Enterkin, Ms. Cheryl Probst and Mr. Fred T. Butcher.
Member absent was Mr. Jeffery Goodman.
Mrs. Loretta Blankenstein recognized the following:
Quality Science & Mathematic Grant Program (QSM) Recipients Ms. Elsa Carter (Math) and Ms. Rachea Bailey (Science).
School Performance Score Recognitions
Ferriday Junior High School, Ferriday High School and Monterey High School.
School Board Members – Acknowledge receipt of the Governor’s Proclamation
It was moved by Mr. Raven, and seconded by Mr. Enterkin and carried unanimously that the officers of the Board remain the same. Mr. Raymond Riley, Sr., serves as President of the board and Mrs. Cheryl Probst serves as vice president. Roll call vote is as follows:

Mr. Raymond Riley announced that the Board Committees would remain as is unless a member wanted to request a change.

Committee Reports were presented.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Mr. Bostic and carried unanimously to approve the minutes of December 8, 2016.
It was moved by Mr. Raven, seconded by Ms. Probst and carried unanimously to approve invoices in the amount of $5,108,122 for the month of December.
Mr. O’Neal reviewed the audit report with Board Members. Members were provided with copies of the audit report for review.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Ms. Campbell and carried unanimously to approve the Community Eligibility Provision Program (CEP).
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Mr. Bradford and carried unanimously to approve the Adoption of the Resolution declaring January as School Board Member Recognition Month.
It was moved by Mr. Enterkin, seconded by Ms. Probst and carried unanimously to approve the Adoption of the Updated LSBA Code of Conduct.
It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Mr. Bradford and carried unanimously for the Board Member’s Compensation to remain as is.

Mrs. Loretta Blankenstein made the following announcements:
We will dismiss on tomorrow, January 13, 2017, at 12:30 p.m. for report cards.
The January 2017, supplement check will be distributed on Friday, January 13, 2017.
All schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2017, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday.
Staff Development Day will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
Students will not attend school.
