PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, JULY 6, 2017.

The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Special Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, July 6, at 6:00 P.M.  The meeting was called to order by Mr. Raymond Riley, who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.

Members present were Mr. Warren Enterkin, Ms. Mary Campbell, Mr. Jeffery Goodman, Ms. Cheryl Probst, Mr. John Bostic, Mr. Rickey Raven and Mr. Raymond Riley, Sr.

Board Member Mr. Fred T. Butcher arrived at 6:03 p.m.

Board Member absent was Mr. Ronnie Bradford.

After a discussion by the board, it was announced that the term of the contract of the new superintendent, Mr. Whest Shirley, would be for two and a half years beginning July 1, 2017, and ending December 31, 2019.

It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Mr. Enterkin and carried unanimously to appoint a committee to review the past three years of student data to determine performance goals.

The following committee was appointed:

 Ms. Mary Campbell

 Mr. John Bostic

 Ms. Loretta Blankenstein
