PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, JULY 12, 2018

 

The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Regular Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 6:00 o’clock p.m.  The meeting was called to order by Vice President Cheryl Probst who, after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.

 

Members present were Ms. Mary Campbell, Mrs. Carolyn Bradford, Mrs. Cheryl Probst, Mr. John Bostic, and Mr. Ricky Raven.

 

Board members absent were Mr. Warren Enterkin, Mr. Fred Butcher, Mr. Jeffrey Goodman, and Dr. Raymond Riley.

 

Committee Reports were discussed as follows:  Mrs. Probst of the Finance Committee stated that the monthly financial statements, and miscellaneous other fiscal issues as well as the progress on the football fields were discussed.  Ms. Campbell of the Educational/Personnel Policy Committee stated that retirement, appointments, resignations, transfers, football fields, and CPA were discussed.  Mr. Bostic of the Buildings and Grounds Committee stated that football fields, basketball courts, and maintenance requests were discussed.

 

It was moved by Mr. Raven, seconded by Mr. Bostic and carried to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting on June 14, 2018.

 

It was moved by Mr. Raven, seconded by Mr. Bostic and carried to approve invoices in the amount of $6,712,618 for the month of June 2018.

 

It was moved by Mr. Bostic, seconded by Ms. Campbell and carried to approve the second reading of the following policies:

First day of school is Friday, August 10; 12:30 dismissal.
