PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, JUNE 10, 2019

The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Special Session at the Concordia Parish School Board office in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Monday, June 10, 2019, at 5:00 o’clock p.m.  The meeting was called to order by Mr. John Bostic who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.

Members present were Mrs. Dorothy Parker, Mr. Fred Butcher, Mr. Derrick Carson, Mr. John Bostic, Ms. Angela Hayes, Mrs. Lisette Forman, Mr. Ricky Raven, and Dr. Raymond Riley.

Member absent was Warren Enterkin.

It was moved by Mr. Raven, seconded by Mrs. Parker and carried to enter into Executive Session at 5:05 p.m. pursuant to LSA 42:17(A)(2) to discuss strategy in the litigation styled “Sue Ann Easterling v. Concordia Parish School Board, case no. 1:14-cv-01178 and 1:14-cv-00472, United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Alexandria Division.”

It was moved by Mr. Bostic, seconded by Mr. Raven and carried to enter back into the Regular Session at 5:38 p.m.

It was moved by Mr. Carson, seconded by Mr. Bostic and carried to adopt the recommendation made by Attorney Neal Johnson that was discussed in Executive Session in the matter styled “Sue Ann Easterling v. Concordia Parish School Board, case no. 1:14-cv-01178 and 1:14-cv-00472, United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Alexandria Division.”

Dr. Riley stated that the Buildings and Grounds Committee will not meet this evening because of the Special Meeting.

It was moved by Mr. Butcher, seconded by Mr. Raven and carried to adjourn at 5:41 p.m.
