The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Special Session VIA ZOOM, on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at 6:00 o’clock p.m.  The meeting was called to order by Mr. Fred Butcher who after prayer and the Pledge, declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.

Members present were Mrs. Dorothy Parker, Mr. Fred Butcher, Mr. Derrick Carson, Mr. John Bostic, Ms. Angela Hayes, Mrs. Lisette Forman, and Dr. Raymond Riley.

Board Member Mr. Warren Enterkin was absent.

Superintendent Shirley read the Three Options for 2020 Graduation that were developed from a committee made up of CPSB principals, directors, students, and parents.

After a brief discussion, it was moved by Dr. Riley to not accept any of the 3 options and wait until at least July to see what Phase we would be in.  Motion died due to lack of a second.

It was moved by Mr. Bostic and seconded by Mrs. Forman to set a date after July 12 and to have a traditional graduation with a limited number of seating and to let the superintendent and the principals set the exact date.  After a discussion, Mr. Bostic rescinded his motion.

It was moved by Dr. Riley, seconded by Mrs. Parker and carried to tentatively plan for a traditional graduation for all seniors during the week of July 13-17, 2020; and, if the State is still not in the Phase where we can open up by July 15, 2020, all principals will be told to have an alternative plan for a virtual graduation.
