PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A SPECIAL CALLED MEETING THURSDAY, JUNE 15, 2023

The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in Special Called Session on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 6:00 PM at the Vidalia City Hall Meeting Room.  The meeting was called to order by Mr. Fred Butcher by cell phone on speaker. 

Board members present were Mr. Wayne Wilson, Mr. Fred Marsalis, Mr. Derrick Carson, Ms. Angela Hayes, Mr. Matt Taunton, and Mrs. Vanessa Houck.

Board members absent were Mrs. Dorothy Parker, Mrs. Lisette Forman, and Mr. Fred Butcher.

This meeting was called to consider bids for the renovation of the football fields at Ferriday High School and Vidalia High School.  Mr. Tom O’Neal handed out bid information to the board members.  The two bids received were from Camo Construction Company, Inc., of Vidalia and Rayburn Construction Company of Natchez, Mississippi.  Keith Capdepon, Jr., with Bryant Hammett & Associates was present and offered their recommendation to accept the bid of Camo Construction Company.  It was moved by Mr. Wilson, seconded by Mr. Carson and unanimously carried to accept the recommendation of Bryant Hammett & Associates for the Camo Construction Company bid.

Mr. Carson requested that the Building and Grounds Committee meet to discuss the overall logistics of this project.  That meeting will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 5:00 PM at the office of Bryant Hammett & Associates.

It was moved by Mr. Carson, seconded by Mrs. Houck and carried unanimously to adjourn at 6:10 PM.
