●      Discussed the 2nd Annual Teacher and Staff Celebration to be held on January 13, 2025

In attendance: Fred Marsalis, Tom O’Neal, Brenda Roberts, Fred Butcher, Lisette Forman, and Toyua Bachus

Projects Discussed:

●      Reviewed Financial Statements for the month of December

○      The number was a little higher due to the bonus

●      Update on the Monterey School Drainage project

●      Discussed the electric lines right-of-way issues at FHS

●      Discussed the high receipts for some schools for the month

●      Discuss the issuance of School District tax Bonds

○      Discussed interest etc.

Building and Grounds Committee

January 8, 2025

In attendance: Wayne Wilson, Derrick Carson, Toyua Bachus, and Glenn Henderson

Projects Discussed:

●      FJH Gas Leak- to be added to the agenda. Currently, a minor fix is done. However, it is recommended that the plumbers replace the system. Currently, we have two quotes for this job, with the lower quote being 37,000. Similar work has been done at MHS and FLE.

●      Football Field (Sod Issues)

○      Mr. Carson and Mr. Wilson are working to get a joining meeting with all involved to better understand the deterioration of the fields after the work that was recently done.

■      We reviewed the upkeep plan as well as discussed the current state of the fields.

●      VHS has a patch in the middle

●      FHS the entire home side is not looking okay

●      Discussed digitizing building plans. Mr. Henderson will get a quote for this

●      Discussed the January 13, 2025 2nd Annual Staff Awards Day
