·         No terminations or new hires

·  Status of VUE roof

·         More information was requested

·         Information will be given at the Building and Ground Committee

Note: A request has been made for the evaluation of the travel policy. The policy has been emailed to all board members

Finance Committee Meeting Notes

March 11, 2025

Attendees: Derrick Carson, Fred Butcher, Dorothy Parker, Tom O'Neal, Toyua Bachus, Patricia Session, and Brenda Roberts

 

·  Mrs. Sessions shared that the expenditures for the month of February were 3,977,558.11.

·  The Quarterly Financial Statement was reviewed.

·  The Superintendent shared a report from the LDOE showing that Concordia Parish is in compliance with the 70% MFP requirement.

·  Mr. O'Neal shared an update on the FHS project.

·         Updates included that the project is published and bids will be accepted next month

·  Briefly discussed the finance policy

·  A request was made to have the Education/Personnel Committee review the out of State Travel Policy

Building and Grounds Committee Meeting Notes

Attendees: Matt Taunton, Glen Henderson, Derrick Carson, and Toyua Bachus

Discussion Items:

·  Project Updates:

o    The Monterey High School drainage project and the Ferriday Junior High gas line project have both been completed.

·  Football Field Usage:

o    The committee briefly discussed the use of football fields. It was reiterated that no one should be on the fields, and this directive has been communicated to both principals.

·  VUE Roof Update:

o    Mr. Henderson provided an update on the Vidalia Upper Elementary (VUE) roof, stating that a new purchase order has been obtained and submitted in the system. The Superintendent will follow up on this matter.

o    Due to Mr. Henderson having to leave the meeting for an exciting opportunity benefiting our district, follow-up questions regarding the roof were sent to him via email.

·  FHS Roof:

o    Mr. Henderson also shared images of the Ferriday High School (FHS) roof for review.

·  Superintendent’s Updates:

o    The Superintendent reviewed the meeting agenda with board members and discussed upcoming events.
