PROCEEDINGS OF THE PARISH SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA TAKEN AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1991
The Parish School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in special session at the Concordia Parish School Board Office in Vidalia, Louisiana on Monday, November 25, 1991, at five-thirty (5:30) o'clock p.m.
Members present were Honorable J. W. Calhoun, President; Mrs. Marie Cowan; Mr. Jerry King; Mrs. Polly Miley; Mr. Charles Partridge; Mr. Walter Stampley, and Mrs. Georgia Washington.
Members absent were Mr. Johnnie Brown and Mr. Manson Nelson.
The Parish School Board of the Parish of Concordia was duly convened by Honorable J. W. Calhoun, President, who declared that the Board was ready for the transaction of business.
The meeting was opened with prayer led by Jerry King.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited.
It was moved by Charles Partridge, seconded by Jerry King and carried to hold a special meeting December 10, 1991, at five-thirty (5:30) o'clock p.m.
Johnnie Brown arrived at the meeting at five forty-five (5:45) o'clock p.m.
It was moved by Jerry King, seconded by Marie Cowan and carried for the board to go into executive session at six fifty-two (6:52) o'clock p.m. to discuss personnel matters.
It was moved by Marie Cowan, seconded by Jerry King and carried for the Board to go into open session. The Board went into open session at eight thirty (8:30) o'clock p.m.
J. W. Calhoun stated that the Board had interviewed Dr. John W. Jordon and Donald P. Joseph for the position of superintendent.
Walter Stampley made a motion to interview Dr. William A. Davis December 3, 1991. The motion failed for lack of a second.
It was the consensus of the Board to advise Dr. Davis that if he could not be present for an interview on November 26, 1991, the Board would not interview him at a later date.
It was moved by Walter Stampley, seconded by Polly Miley and carried to adjourn.
The meeting was adjourned at eight forty (8:40) o'clock p.m.

Members present were Honorable J. W. Calhoun, President; Mrs. Marie Cowan; Mr. Jerry King; Mrs. Polly Miley; Mr. Charles Partridge; and Mr. Walter Stampley.

It was moved by Walter Stampley, seconded by Marie Cowan and carried for the Board to go into executive session to discuss personnel matters.
The Board went into executive session at five fifty (5:50) o'clock p.m. to discuss personnel matters.
It was moved by Marie Cowan, seconded by Jerry King and carried for the Board to return to open session at eight thirty (8:30) p.m.
J. W. Calhoun stated that the Board had interviewed Mr. James E. Lee, Dr. Gene E. Megiveron, and Mr. William Reedy for the position of superintendent.
The Board concluded that the meeting of December 10, 1991, would be a special meeting of the Board and that the new superintendent would be selected.
It was moved by Charles Partridge, seconded by Polly Miley and carried that the meeting be adjourned.
The meeting was adjourned at eight fifty-five (8:55) o'clock p.m.
