PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA TAKEN AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON APRIL 30, 1992.

The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in special session at the Concordia Parish School Board Office in Vidalia, Louisiana on Thursday, April 30, 1992, at five-thirty (5:30) o'clock p.m.  The meeting was called to order by the Honorable J.W. Calhoun, President, who declared that the board after prayer led by Mrs. Marie Cowan and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, was ready for the transaction of business.

Members present were Rev. Johnnie Brown; Mrs. Marie Cowan; Mr. Jerry King;  Mrs. Polly Miley; Mr. Manson Nelson; Mr. Walter Stampley; and Mrs. Georgia Washington.

Also present for the meeting were Concordia Parish School Board attorney, Norman Magee, and Concordia Parish investigator, Paul Scott.

Members absent:  Mr. Charles Partridge

After the question and answer and discussion period, it was moved by Mr. Nelson and seconded by Mrs. Cowan that the investigative report concerning repairs and work performed at Ferriday High School prepared by Mr. Magee together with all pertinent records be turned over to and submitted to the district attorney's office and the sheriff's office for their review, use and any action they may deem appropriate, if any.   A roll call vote was taken and the motion passed 7-1, with Mrs. Washington voting no.

Superintendent Lee asked that law enforcement submit a formal request for all records and invoices.  He also stated for the record that the invoices are being kept under lock and key outside of the business department at the request of Investigator Scott and he resented any innuendo that they would not be safe in the business department.  Mr. Scott replied that no innuendo was intended.

It was moved by Mrs. Cowan, seconded by Rev. Brown and carried unanimously to adjourn at six-o-seven (6:07) p.m.
