PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 1992.
The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in special session at the Concordia Parish School Board Office in Vidalia, Louisiana on Monday, November 30, 1992 at five-thirty (5:30) o'clock p.m. The meeting was called to order by the Honorable J.W. Calhoun, President, who declared that the Board after prayer led by Mrs. Polly Miley and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, was ready for the transaction of business.
Members present were Honorable J.W. Calhoun; Mrs. Marie Cowan; Mr. Jerry King; Mrs. Polly Miley; Mr. Walter Stampley and Mrs. Georgia Washington.
Members absent: Rev. Johnnie Brown; Mr. Manson Nelson; Mr. Charles Partridge.
It was moved by Mrs. Miley, seconded by Mrs. Cowan and carried unanimously to move to Executive Session at five thirty-one (5:31) o'clock p.m. Superintendent Lee asked three supervisors (Mrs. Dangerfield, Mr. Irvin and Mr. O'Neal) and board attorney Norman Magee to attend the session for informational purposes.
It was moved by Mrs. Washington, seconded by Mrs. Cowan and carried unanimously to return to open session at six seventeen (6:17) o'clock p.m.
It was recommended by Mr. Magee that the board pay the state retirement system $17,558.03 over a four year period at no interest in the Goldie Lassiter case.
It was moved by Mr. King, seconded by Mrs. Cowan and carried unanimously to approve Mr. Magee's recommendation.
It was moved by Mr. Stampley, seconded by Mrs. Washington and carried unanimously to adjourn at six twenty (6:20) o'clock p.m.
