PROCEEDINGS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF THE PARISH OF CONCORDIA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 1995.
The School Board of the Parish of Concordia, State of Louisiana, met in special session at the Concordia Parish School Board Office, in Vidalia, Louisiana, on Tuesday, September 26, 1995, at five-thirty (5:30) o'clock p.m. The meeting was called to order by the Honorable Manson E. Nelson, Sr., President, who declared that the Board, after prayer by Mr. James E. Lee, and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, was ready for the transaction of business.
Members present were the Honorable Manson E. Nelson, Sr., Mr. Arthur A. Arnold, Mr. Eddie L. Coleman, Sr., Mrs. Marie Cowan, Mr. Mike Grantham, Mr. Charles Partridge, Mr. Lynn White, and Mr. Sam Williams, Jr.
Members absent: Mrs. Georgia Washington
President Nelson stated that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss salary schedules and the teacher incentive plan. Superintendent Lee distributed a salary analysis which the Board had previously requested. Following lengthy discussion regarding salary issues and schedules, Mr. Arnold suggested the Board consider establishing a salary index which would include all employees. It was decided to form a committee to study the feasibility of establishing such an index. President Nelson appointed Mr. Arnold, Mr. Coleman, Mr. Grantham, and Mr. White to the committee, with Mr. Arnold serving as chairperson.
It was moved by Mr. Partridge, seconded by Mr. Williams and carried unanimously to adjourn at 6:15 p.m.
